Looking Back on the 2017 Summer Season

Looking Back on the 2017 Summer Season

As we come to the end of this year’s festival and events season, stretch our limbs, rub our weary eyes and look forward to some serious snooze catch up we take a look back at some of the great events we’ve worked on this year.

Our season kicked off in early May, where we provided our superb ZooVac washrooms to the Affordable Art Fair in London for a third year running which eased us into a busy and exciting season.

Our highlight as always in the summer is Glastonbury Festival, which for once was hot, sunny and dry (a big contrast to a very muddy 2016). We celebrated our 5th year creating our little utopia away from the hustle and bustle of the festival. We think this year was our best one yet with guests enjoying scrumptious food and drink, relaxing in our chill out tent and indulging themselves with fresh flushing toilets, hot private showers, and a pamper tent with hair dryers & straighteners. Our guests could even book professional hair & make up with ‘The Pop Up Salon’ team to get the perfect boho braids or to just enjoy a relaxing massage after dancing the night away. Sadly, next year is a fallow year at Glastonbury but we’ll be back with the Powder Room in 2019 with preparations already underway to make it bigger and better! For those with Glasto blues that won’t shift watch our ZooLoos Glastonbury video here to relive the experience:

We also brought our Powder Room for the first time to Lost Village, a fantastic festival that took place in a secret woodland location in Lincolnshire. Much more than just a music festival, Lost Village is a world of fine experiences. We had a fantastic time making sure festival goers stayed clean and stylish at this unique event.

Our team travelled all over for many other festivals including Wilderness, V Festival, BoomTown, Standon Calling, Festival No.6, Focus, Big Church Day Out and David’s Tent to name just a few. We had a great festival season and hope to return to many of these festivals in 2018.

Our luxury high end washrooms popped up at several top sporting events including the Epsom Derby, Formula 1 British Grand Prix and the British MotoGP both at the iconic Silverstone Circuit. Once again we provided our top of the range loos to Goodwood Members, Festival of Speed and Revival as well as the famous Bonhams auction. This year saw our largest set up of ZooVac washrooms at the UEFA Champions League final in Cardiff, where guests from all over the world flew in to use our loos! Well, more likely to watch the match but we think it must’ve been the enticement of fresh flushing loos too!

We’ve attended an exciting array of corporate do’s this year like the Zizzi Mud Run event where we received a glowing review from Amy, their Events Manager, “your showers were fantastic…your staff were great to have on site and really friendly! Will definitely work with you again.” Our team pulled together a corker of a festival for WeWork Summer camp where hundreds of Americans flew over for a British festival purely for their company where Florence and the Machine performed.

As we come to the end of our season we have a little more time to relax, but there’s no rest for the Zoo Team as we get ready to supply our washrooms to Cheltenham Racecourse’s winter events and we start to plan an exciting 2018!
